There are four main components to every course.

TECHNIQUE

How to play piano / keys with proper technique!

STYLE

What sort of keyboardist do you want to be? Jazz? Rock? Funk? ALL OF THE ABOVE?! You can explore different genres you love while trying some styles you may not have considered as we search for your unique style.

THEORY

Learn how to read and analyze music notation. This knowledge is applicable to all instruments! Beginning Theoretical concepts include: rhythm, note reading, time signatures, key signature, and more.

PERFORMANCE / RECORDING

MUSIC IS A PERFORMANCE ART! I require all students to perform in some capacity. From recording your performance in Garageband (which we will teach you how to do), to recording a video of yourself and posting it to our Student Progress Youtube Blog, we will get you performing despite the pandemic!
